Lo que el mar se llevó 2022-2023

Portraits of a place, a stilt house in a small coastal village in Uruguay, which will be swallowed by the sea due to global warming and the rising sea level as the other stilt houses from the village did.

50 mts 2025

Performance, site-specific action were I measure the distance between a stilt house and the sea. 50 meters is the distance measured in January 2025. The stilt house is under menace due to sea level rising. All other stilt houses from the village have already been taken by the sea. This stilt house is one of the two left standing of its kind.

Truth 2026

A moonrise connects two temporalities filmed over thirty years at a stilt house by the sea in Uruguay. Super 8 footage shot by my parents in 1992 meets my own recordings from 2022, where my father recounts, and reinvents, the story of losing his eye. Between testimony and pirate stories, the film explores memory as a fragile archive constantly rewritten through storytelling. An intergenerational gesture about image-making, territory, and the instability of truth.

My current work is rooted in the interplay between material consumption and our relationship with the environment. This video work addresses the consequences of urban living, overconsumption, and environmental degradation, while reflecting on our interconnectedness with other species and among ourselves.
